Ten boats with eager skippers enjoyed a wonderful and warm afternoon on the lake today with a light north breeze.

John 292 had his boat right in the groove today and gave us all a good lesson, well done John. The rest of us at some stage got on the right side of a good shift and came away with wins.

Light winds cause log jambs at marks and we did have a few incidents. Hats off to the skippers who had a discussion and sorted out a result using the rules.

John from Rotorua had a boat that wanted to break contact with him on a regular basis. He has a date with his shed to sort it for next week.

A number of us are heading East on Saturday to join with the Papamoa group for some fun sailing. If you can make it, the 65's start at 11.00am and 95's at 1.00pm. Let's make it a good one.

On to Dragon Boat
