The bestess breeze was at The Bus Stop.
Twelve skippers enjoyed the best breeze we have had for a long time. Straight out of SW and rock solid. Nigel 168 set a figure 8 and we were into it.
It's nice to see Jeff 880 back in the group and sailing well. Check him out catching a few offenders on the start in the videos. Well done Jeff.
The beats today were sooooo good with the solid wind. Some interesting strategies developed through the afternoon generally resulting in wins for those who got it right. Working the puffs downwind to the finish often saw close margins change.
There was a crisis mid afternoon when Kent 717 lost his knob. (Counter weight) He tried to steal one from someone else and when that didn't work, he carried on without one and reckoned his boat went better.
I left early, but my roving reporter said three RTW's were enjoyed by the fleet. Race 1 and 3 were won by Nigel 168 and Graeme 120 won Race 2. Always a trill to win an RTW as they are long races so a lot of strategic planning takes place.
My apologies for the late report. Santa put on a party in our village last night.
Enjoy the photos
