Thirteen keen starters this afternoon for some real fun sailing.

The session started warm and overcast then turned to light rain that did not affect most skippers.

One thing that was positive was the rain brought with it a light northerly breeze that was at times quite even across the lake.

The light breeze has the advantage of letting us all have a bit of time to decide our next move.

Today was a day where you needed a reasonable start, stay away from the bunch, and keep your boat moving.

You also need to focus on your own boat and the control of your sails.

It's not good to be constantly on your rudder.

Think about the wind angels and how your sails are driving your boat.

The rudder won't make it go.

Pinching is another negative, if you are not quite laying the top mark whack in a short tack and keep moving.

Lots of winners today and lots of enjoyment.

A fantastic win for Keith 127 at The Lakes yesterday.

The Great Grand Master Sailor Keith 127 dished out a lesson on learning to sail the right course. Whiley Keith 127 was down the fleet a little bit and noticed the leaders were sailing to the wrong mark. He said nothing and sailed on to his next (and the correct) mark which led to his first win after weeks of frustration with his new boat and electronic issues now resolved. Well done Keith 127.

Some good photos today, have a good look at them as there are clues to be had.
