Tauranga Radio Sailing Club - 2019 Club Champs
The one thing you can't control is the weather. October is suppose to be windy, but today was not that day.
However we must always remember there is not such thing as bad weather, just poorly dressed.
Sunday was a grey drizzling day in Tauranga.
11am start was postponed until and a firm direction was established.
Unfortunately the drizzle just keep kicking the wind out.
Racing got underway in very soft conditions but there was enough to move around the track.
The shifty conditions made it tricky getting off the starting line in a good position, but with all the shifts there were plenty of passing lanes if you could find them.
There was nothing between all the boats and rafts of boats kept coming into the marks at the same time which made it very tricky at times.
The racing was so close, that the last race would determined who was going to be the overall winner out of Graham, Rob and Graham.
Congratulations to Carl for rallying all us tropes together and running another fantastic event.
Thuppy for RO'ing this event in such trying conditions.
And thanks TO YOU !
It was great to catch up with all from around the country and we are looking forward to hitting the road soon and seeing you all again at your venues...
