The brass monkey almost had something frozen off at The Bus Stop today.
Eight skippers braved a cool afternoon sailing today. Even Graeme 230 in his shorts felt the cold and was heard muttering about it and suggesting that it was affecting his ability to sail a straight line.
So, it was cool and the wind was almost non-existent, but we managed to race. The racing, although a bit slow, was very enjoyable. New skipper, Trevor 22 is learning fast and jumped the fleet with a couple of high end starts that had the fleet scrambling to catch him. Well done Trevor, keep it up.
New skipper John had his first race sailing 179 and put on a good show. well done John.
It was nice to have a visit and chat with Pat 39 who has been on other missions lately.Â
We knocked over a brace of races then the wind crumped out on us. By mutual agreement, we called it a day and went home for a cuppa tea and a lie down. All in all a very cool, enjoyable afternoon out in the fresh air.
No RTW's because of the wind.
