DF65's at Papamoa Ponds

Neville's prediction was spot on - Pleasant weather was the big feature of the day. When I arrived John 9 had launched and hand managed to sail about a metre from shore without a ripple. Yes, no wind. However as the team assembled there came a very light puff and so a course was set of straight up to pink, back through the start line to blue then back to the finish was agreed. Even though the water gave no hint of a breeze, there was in fact one and so we completed probably six races in two hours. Lots of thinking needed and some luck thrown in. An assortment of winners resulted. A nice morning sailing.
