This evening we tried our 1st audio / video committee meeting to discuss the sailing program going forward. Only four of us made it tonight. Hopefully more can join in next meeting in a week or two.

Ken, Owen and myself got online.

David H phoned in after his non chrome browser would not let him hook up.

Incoming emails from club members read.

As most of our members are in the vulnerable classification and the members present at tonight's, 1st online meeting, KF, OP and GR agreed social distancing at the Lakes would be difficult to manage on a 1.5 metre track, we decided that we are still not in a rush to go back under the Level 2 where only ten people are allowed to sail at one time, and also manage the two metre distancing requirement.

If was decided by us to wait at least another week until the government hopefully increases the number above ten sailors allowed at one time. Hopefully at that point the government may give us new guidelines and the committee can regroup and decide how to proceed forward with our Health and Safety requirements under these new rules..

We also need to find out more about the toxic water algae in our lake?

Things for you all to consider before our next meeting.

How to get the dinghy back up after each sailing session, its not easy, three to four people needed after each sailing session please. Would a winch be easier?

Currently the lake has a toxic notice from TDC

so the dinghy probably should be washed after each use?

Also how to achieve

- social distancing more than 2 meter apart from public and each other while we are sailing?

- logging sailors attendance ?

-dealing with the toxic lake water? Hand washing after touching your boat or food.

How do we hand wash ?

Volunteers please email in any Saturday dates that you would be currently happy to undertake a RO duty please. Next meeting we would like to start drawing up a plan for the next 12 months.

Katikati Lake progressing. It would be great to run and BOP regatta there once it is up and running maybe late this year? Also Morrisiville Lake is another good venue in the Waikato.

Waihi the council is manually clearing the weed, J Class is ok, and some IOM's are going to try it out.

Next TRSC meeting after Government increase number above Ten, and hopefully gives us new guidelines.

Note; If you and your mates decide to go social sailing at the moment.

You are not sailing under the TRSC. You are just members of the public..

However you are still representing our club at our venues, so

Please follow Level two rules (no more than ten sailors)

Please do not upset anyone as the rest of us would like to have a venue (and YOU)

to return to, when covid 19 restrictions loosen and we can all get out sailing....

Thanks and looking forward to some RO Duty Emails
