A wonderful warm afternoon at The Bus Stop.

We had a very nice warm, sunny afternoon to race our boats in today. The lake was dead flat calm with next to no wind. There were little puffs coming from the east, then it would swing to the west etc, you know the drill!

We had a simple up and back course that suited the conditions. We chewed off a fair number of races and the breeze slowly lifted and settled in the North.

New skipper, John completed his first race today sailing 179, and that is a milestone for someone who has not sailed before, well done John. Also it was great to welcome back John 292 who now lives up by Katikati. 292 was looking good. We had twelve skippers racing today which was excellent.

If you watch the video on Facebook, turn up the volume and listen to the skippers arguing on the start line, it's quite comical.

Two RTW's raced today, Pete 179 and Rob 501 took the guns.

Congratulations to the TRSC DF65 Team that sailed the Auckland Champs. Nigel NZL168, third and Pete NZL448 from Matata, 11th.

Congratulations to the IOM Team who raced the Waikato Champs at Hamilton. Graham NZL1484 was 2nd and Dennis NZL1051 11th. A fantastic set of results from these dedicated skippers.
