The weather Gods did it again today to turn on a warm, clear winter day. So that brought ten boats to Tauriko to be tested in light weather sailing.

What wind there was, started NW and finished SE and very light, but reasonably even across the lake.

Welcome to Brian 636 who raced with us for the first time today.

Obviously Brian has sailed before as he slipped nicely into the fleet leading well in a couple of races.

We all look forward to seeing Brian in the future.

Nigel is still in training with his A+ rig and showed good spurts of speed and coming from behind for success in some races.

Ian 183 hit the first two races in mean form.

Used the skill of keeping his boat moving in the ultra light wind to take guns. Well done Ian.

A few skippers tried sailing from the timber deck behind the Bus Stop.

The view of the course from up there is a whole different story.

Because of the height it is much easier to gauge distances for mark rounding and the puffs on the water are more evident.

Top day again.
