Today was one of those days like last Monday at The Bus Stop.

A mirror finish on the lake was the greeting the five sailors got when they arrived. There was a little wait for a puff to start then Nigel 168 made a guess and set a course across the lake buoy 3/4 to 7/8 and back which did the job nicely. Two more sailors arrived and we had a nice little fleet of seven.

One wonders how these little DF65's can move in next to no wind, but they do when pointed in the right direction by the skipper. These are the days reading your woolies will tell you the power angle. Soft movements on the tiller and slightly eased sheets. What a combination to remember, just to see another boat get a puff that you don't get with the inevitable passing that results.

Anyway, the lads had a good day with plenty of super light weather sailing and heaps of low speed starts.

A couple of RTW were sailed with Pat 239 and John 201 taking the spoils. As the last RTW finished, light rain knocked the breeze to zero, so it was off home for a cuppa and a lie down.

Thanks to Roving Reporter Nigel 168 for the detail and photos of the day.
