Just a very nice day at The Bus Stop.
The skippers turned out in numbers today, 13 in fact. The breeze was light from N. Nigel 168 set up a course that made good racing and we were into it. We raced hard for the afternoon and wins were being shared around. Nigel 168 clicked into a batch of wins at one stage when he finally dropped on to how to sail his new Little Green Pea. Well done Nigel.
We heard a few hails during the afternoon from skippers using other skippers names when calling protests. It would be a good idea to strongly adopt the use of the sail number which is normal practice. The suggestion is to ignore anyone using a name and not a number to hail a protest. I for one will do that.
We had three exciting RTW's today, the winners were Kent, Pat, and Gary. Gary's win was decided by photo finish with the spectators going crazy on the bank.
