Eight boats today and all as keen as! A lovely warm Autumn day with a light breeze that settled into the NE.

Nigel 168 set a good course and away we went. Talk about close racing, no room for a postage stamp at some of the finishes.

Keith 127 broke the mould in one race and took for a blistering performance to finish a whole leg ahead of the rest. He then packed up and went home saying you retire at the top. He said he needed a lie down to recover after that.

We raced on with the wins being shared around. Pete 179 stepped up and made a significant course change that had boats going in all directions to wrong marks. A couple of races and that got ironed out. Next thing Pete179 got the jump and had a nice break on the fleet only to fall into the "go the wrong way" trap which brought cloud cheers from the other skippers. It's a good idea to know the course as it reduces the humiliation.

A wonderful day racing good boats on a good lake with good mates to keep you honest. Thanks guys.

Pete 179
