Very tricky today at The Bus Stop.
A very cook SE breeze that sung from S to E at various stages. John 235 put all of the skills he has learnt to good use and won the first two races. Well sailed John. I saw Merv188 win one also, he was stoked, again, well sailed Merv. These are the things we like to see. New skippers doing well is great for their moral.
Everyone except me won races and some were by a big margin. The tricky breeze contained big swings and that made the track interesting on every beat. Up the left was good at times, and out in the middle also had specs of genius. It was just a matter of being in phase and then dealing with notorious No 4 buoy.
Nigel 168 was RTW Champion of the day winning all three races. John 201 and Pete 448 thought they would outsmart him and went anticlockwise. They ruled out the sneaky local knowledge as to what to do in a SE puff and Nigel nailed them.
