September 2013 - Martin George Diamond Memorial Trophy

Martin was from Masterton. His family have donated to our club five yachts that Martin was working on and sailing before he passed away. His family wanted something to remember him by. We hear so often now that you cannot win unless you have a commercially built IOM and we wanted to recognize the home builder and keep promoting building your yachts at home in your shed like Martin did. At the Tauranga Champs we will present this Trophy to the first Home Built / Sailed Yacht (1st non-commercial builder at our discression)
