DF65's at The Bus Stop

The sun was shining and eleven skippers arrived ready to race. A day of frustration on the windward beat to top mark, windshifts galore combined with wind strength oscillations and varying SE to S.

Unfortunately John 187 had a collision and his boat went AWOL ending up close to the Bridge. No need for the rescue boat as John was able to retrieve from the shore, ankle deep in mud.

Very testing for our DF65 skippers seems to be the theme of the day lately.

John 9 was unfortunately robbed, having led for most of the way in the around the world race by Nigel168 . Sorry John thems the brakes.

I happened to drop into the lake on the way home from the Doctor and witness this race. John 9 sailed beautifully to be a leg ahead. He dived deep into an unfortunate hole near the top mark. Guess what? Nigel 168 had seen what was happening and sneakily sailed high on the previous mark giving himself room to crack his sails and blow John 9 away. The rest is history. That is the real story as seen by my own eyes.

Thanks to my roving reporter for most of this post.
