Weekly Sailing Report: IOM Saturday 5th October 2024
We had another great day on the water, with several boats sporting the number 52 in various rigs—quite the unique fleet coming out of my workshop! The wind was strong and shifty at times, making for some challenging races. The course was adjusted to help visibility, especially during the rain squalls, which we took cover from under the gazebos.
Two bridge-to-bus-stop races were completed, despite the up-and-down breeze. On a somber note, it was difficult to see Owen become unwell after enjoying racing Graham’s boat. An ambulance took him to the hospital, but at the time of writing, he is doing well. Thanks everyone for helping & Nigel for helping transport vehicles home safely :)
Stay safe and see you next week.
Cheers,
Ken
