Nigel168 and I made a trip to Hamilton to support Graham NZL104's promotion of DF65's on Hamilton Lake. It was raining in Tauranga, but at the top of the Kaimai there was a change to cloudy bright and that was how it was in Hamilton, but pleasantly warm.

I was impressed by the amount of foot traffic on the pathway that encircles Hamilton Lake. With DF65's racing right there for them to see was generating quite a bit of interest.

Graham had five boats available and most of them were in use. A simple round the edge course brought the boats close to shore for all to see. A number of people had a crack at DF65 sailing and all were able to navigate the course with a little help.

If you have an opportunity to go over on Tuesdays and support Graham he would love to see you.

Enjoy the photos.

Tuesday 24th Jan the weather held, and we did not see any rain at the Tuesday Lake Hamilton 4pm to 6pm session.  An offshore breeze coming over the hill made it very shifty, but everyone handled it well.  Bob from Matamata made his first trip over and hopefully we will catch him every fortnight with his DF65.  Nigel and Peter made the trip over from Tauranga to support us, so we had a good fleet sailing.  Plenty of interest from lake walkers and sailer who made the trip down specially.  Thank you all so much for coming

Next Sunday 29th I am competing in a Triathlon at the Blue Lake, Rotorua so I will not at Hamilton with with my loan yachts.

It is a long weekend, and I will be at

Tauranga Lakes Monday Bus Stop 1pm

with a boat load of DF65's if you want to come and have a go

Next Tuesday Lake Hamilton Domain 4pm to 6pm is a go

Rain hail or shine.

My quote of the week.

Then come model sailing with us :)
