t was Merry Christmas at The Bus Stop today.
There appeared to be a Christmas feeling among the five skippers who turned out for the last race before the Big Red Man sails in on his DF65.
A course went on the the board, and were were racing at 1:00pm sharp. Tim 144 was on the starter button and he ran quick turn around races flat out, well done Tim. John 135 was on his 30sec handicap and made no race of the first two races, he was on fire and he was smiling from ear to ear with no Trevor 22 to get in his way. Pete 179 took a couple of races, then Tim144 stepped up, then Nigel 168, then Ian 146 and so on the afternoon went. Some real fun races in the small competitive fleet.
Then out of the blue, Rob 501 showed up with no 501. He chartered 179 and got in amongst it while Pete shot some action photos.
We had a very nice breeze that started light, went up a notch and remained steady, then dropped away as we ran our one RTW. Tim 144 put in a blinder to win a well judged RTW.
Merry Christmas to all radio sailors. the could be a new DF65 stuffed in your stocking if you've been a good boy. We'll see you on the 29th for the last race day of 2025.
Enjoy the photos
