Looking out the window Saturday morning and there were leaves everywhere from the overnight storm
Come Lunchtime and wind at Bethlehem was moderate. B rig time :)
Off to the Lakes early to dig out the B rigs which had not been sailing since Wellington, feels like a year ago....
A low turnout today (not surprising with the grey looking day)
The B's drifted off the jetty and soon hooked into a shifty (really shifty) breeze.
Not fully powered up in either direction, but too gusty for the A rigs.
We had an afternoon of fun racing. The wind shifts determined the winner
Keith came down to watch and became our Race Officer and Starter for the afternoon
Our starting box has gone down for some reason, and Keith kindly offered to Start us all afternoon
Mega thanks Keith from the team. Really appreciated.
There were huge splits in the field all day with the trying shifty conditions (180 degree shifts ranging from 1 knot to 15 knots)
3pm and shadow started covering the path, so a long bridge to bus stop race before we all drifted home (so to speak)
See ya all 1pm Wednesday for hopefully some more stable conditions.
(ps we were all tooo busy watching our boats in the shifts to have time to take photos, sorry...)
