Hot one is right, in more ways than one, talk about hot completion today, it was all on. It was fantastic to see such close racing today. To get a win you had to minimise mistakes and take any gains you could get.
The breeze was light and from NE giving some interesting lifts and knocks plus some tricky holes. A testing course was set. It was a day where it wasn't hard to go from first to last in a blink. Good to see penalty turns being done for infringements.
Top performer for the day was Aaron 176 who showed good speed and tactics together with good starts. Many finishes were postage stamp deals caused by a tricky finishing beat.
We'll be racing right through the break, so The Bus stop, Papamoa or Matata would love to have you for an afternoon of fun.
Tomorrow, remember Matata welcomes DF65 fun sailors for a fantastic afternoon's sailing starting at 1.00pm.
Everyone had a great day to finish the club fun racing year. I heard lots of Merry Christmas greetings as the boys departed to wait for their new boats to arrive from Santa.
