It was one of those awesome days today at The Bus Stop.

Twelve skippers arrived at the lake to race, the day was warm and dry, the ducks were out and about, everything was good. Talking of ducks, I think we will have a heavy influx of them next week as the sky will be full of pellets. The one thing that was missing today was wind early on, in fact it wasn't up to much all afternoon. However, there was enough to sail, and with Nigel 168 setting a short course, we got started.

The course was a simple triangle, and races were over in quick time. The beauty of the day was that we got to do a heap of starts they were between buoys 8 & 9, right in front of us. The light breeze meant decisions were slowed right down and skippers could maneuver freely avoiding collisions. Wonderful time over distance practice as well. A few skippers found the light weather a bit hard, but most enjoyed the afternoons racing.

Nigel had a slightly off day, but when RTW was mentioned, he came alive and won both races, the second one saw him in an epic match with 179 battling him all the way to the finish.

As usual, you wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else having a great day.

Enjoy the photos
