BURNSCO regatta DF65's
I arrived early to help with the setup and found others had the same intention so very quickly everything was in place and ready to go.
Graham had been there last night collecting and placing buoys and arranging them to form two courses, one for IOM's and one for DF65's.
With everything in place briefing was held and racing got underway right on time.
Twelve boats lined up and we were into it.
The wind was NE and very light, but sailable.
Starts were exciting as skippers went for the best position.
Graham NZL104 had set a course that had a lot of passing lanes, but it was not always evident where they were.
We raced through the morning with a number of skippers scoring wins.
The lunch break came and went and it was all on again.
The wind swung more to the north and lifted so a couple of course changes put us back on a better beat.
The final two races included the normal 'Round The World' twice to give a couple of long courses to wind up the day.
Thanks to our guest photographer Keith 127 who snapped some of the action for you to see.
Results and prize giving followed with everyone a winner.
Many hands helped pack up and another great day's racing was over.
A big thanks to our RO Graham NZL104 for the smooth running of our DF65 competition.
