Today there was a bit of a stink weather forecast, but that didn't stop eight intrepid skippers from fronting up to fun race.
As it turned out there was next to no rain, but unfortunately along with that was very little wind,
But enough to sail those little DF65's.
These conditions require heavy concentration and constant vigilance of what is happening around you.
We are all sailing in the same wind and in the same area and round the same marks and those who keep watch will benefit.
Graham had the gazebo up for shade,
Nigel produced a good course and plenty of skippers turned out, so fun racing we did.
Nigel was our guest photographer and reporter so this report is a team effort, thank you.
Lots of winners again today and lots of enjoyment.
Matata is calling out for visitors tomorrow,
Pete 448
will have racing organised and there will be a good NE breeze as per this forecast.
Might see you at Matata tomorrow.

Today at the Lakes Kevin P came down and had a go, Kevin had not sailed before, but was a total Natural in light tricky conditions and was keeping up with everyone at the end of the session. Kevin has ordered a new DF65 tonight from Grant Lane and will have in a few days. http://dragonyachtsupplies.co.nz/
After a couple of nights work, Kevin will on the water and be a regular sailor with his new DF65 out at the Tauranga Lakes.
