Thursday at Tauriko wasn't every DF65's skippers dream.
Let me lay out the scene.
No wind except for the lightest possible breath of air from the NE.
Very threatening sky holding oodles of rain. Six elderly men standing around talking about how bad it was.
Keith was the brightest button in the group as he didn't launch his boat, everyone else did. So what happened?
Well, nothing really, the launched boats just drifted around aimlessly.
Nigel's A+ rig attracted a sniff of a breeze and moved a few metres then spun round and stopped.
Graeme drifted out and fetched a piece of weed.
Did we get a race started, NO.
Did it start raining, YES.
Did we decide enough is enough, YES, so we pulled the pin and went home for a cuppa tea and a lie down.
A disappointing day sailing with the boys.
