Hello fellow Kiwi IOM NCA Member
It's coming up to that time of the year when the One Meter Class Association has its Annual General Meeting .
We suspect that some are still unaware that the the NZL IOM NCA is a separate entity to the NZRYA.
The IOM NCA manages the IOM class in NZ and has its own constitution and Management Committee.
The first part of the Annual General Meeting process is to call for IOM Management Committee nominations and any resolutions - please refer to the attached Preliminary Notice of AGM.

The current Management Committee members term ends in February. For work of the IOM National Class Association to continue, we need members to put their name forward to be part of the Management Committee.
“I’m too busy” is not a good reason to decline! Everyone on the committee is a volunteer, and it is hoped that most will take their turn and not overload a few.
If you enjoy sailing, how about also giving back with a little of your time?
The committee meets once a month (zoom/skype) and the roles are:

Technical officer
Class Racing officer

1.0 CALL FOR NOMINATIONS
As per regulation 5.4. nominations for the Officers of the Management Committee standing for
election shall be received in writing by the Class Secretary six (6) weeks before the meeting at which
the election is to take place.
The Officers who make up the Management Committee shall be a minimum of three (3) up to a
Maximum of seven (7). One or more of these roles may be combined at the discretion of the NCA.
The NZL ION NCA shall have the following Officers as its Management Committee.
Class Chairman
Class Secretary
Class Treasurer
Class Registrar
Class Measurer
Class Technical Officer
Class Racing Officer
A full description of the duties required by Officers is detailed in the IOMNCA Regulations for New
Zealand which can be viewed on the NZRYA website.
2.0 CALL FOR RESOLUTIONS
As per 4.6. of the Regulations, Resolutions for a General Meeting (AGM) shall be emailed to
secretary@nzliomnca.org.nz at least six (6) weeks before the meeting at which they are to be
proposed.
