Nice breeze at Matata

Ten boats on the water today with three visitors from Waihi and Tauranga.

I arrived a little late due to mainly my mismanagement of time to find a line up of folding chairs seating

mainly elderly guys happily sailing their little boats while basking in the Matata sunshine.

That's got to be good for you.

Just after joining in along came a lovely lady with a big box of Christmas cake and other goodies.

Wow, Matata can turn it on.

Thanks from all for that gesture of Christmas Good Will.

Back to sailing.

A really nice NE solid breeze was coming right down the lagoon, perfect for sailing DF65's.

It's been a few months since I last sailed on the Lagoon with the Matata Boys

and the standard of sailing has taken a quantum leap forward.

You have to work hard for a win in that company.

We had an excellent course set that tested all points of sailing.

Oh, and one last thing, right outside the pub is now a judder bar,

and it's about as high as The Mount,

so if you are passing that way watch out for it.
