Tauriko yesterday saw eight skippers arrive ready to sail.
There was one component missing, wind! Nigel set a course with some optimism.
We eventually started and after a bit of struggling we managed to finish the race.
The water was like glass, but we raced more races and somehow managed to complete them.
The test was light weather sailing and how best to deal with it.
The old story of a reasonable start, keep your boat moving and staying clear of other boats paid off.
Some big winning margins resulted.
Course maintenance was carried out today by Graeme 137 and Nigel 168.
A buoy had sunk.
The boys dragged the pickup boat round, launched and retrieved the buoy.
The rope had caught on the weight chain.
Thanks for your effort fellas.
Sorry no pictures today, the excitement level was too low.
