DF65's at "The Bus Stop" Thursday.

A small group of skippers and boats assembles on the boardwalk. The crowd was privileged to witness the new Race Course Board reveal. Nigel Armitage had given a warning the week before that he was sick of explaining the course multiple times before racing and repeating himself a few more times during the afternoon.

So Nigel went away and today launched "The Board". It is a work of art, notice the carry handle along with other features. Thank you Nigel from all of us sailors.

Our friend the wind put on a poor show. Glassy conditions on the lake made a very relaxed start to racing. A couple of weeks ago after discussions, Nigel borrowed the crash boat and repositioned a couple of our buoys to allow some better courses to be set. The new board has them all marked. A new course was set today as shown on the picture and it included a pretty fair windward beat. With light wind, that certainly sorted out the men from the boys.
