In my shed,
I have a couple of very early NZ/UK IOM's with flat decks from bow to stern.
I have been racing the DF65 a lot which also have a flat deck bow to stern.
So the burning question that is rolling around in my head is
would a flat frank fore deck work, or will poke and round up?
Frank's has one of the biggest waterline bow sections
and as yet a Frank has never fully poked on a downwind,
however its been mostly mid A rig this last season.
So here we go, Flat plywood deck, bow to stern.
Frank 3.1 is going to tell me how far I can push into a low volume fore deck....
I am going to name Frank 3.1 the "Orange Submarine" for obvious reasons
Photo ----> Frank 3.1 Female mold 2/3's printed.
3 more days for 3 more sections to print, then glue, sand, tape, and layup .....
Here we go again
:)
