The morning wasn't too bright with rain and heavy clouds.

As the day progressed the rain disappeared and out came the sun with a sneaky southerly.

I was a bit late arriving and racing was underway with a small tight group of sailors deep in concentration.

The breeze varied in strength between 0 and 10 knots

generally from the south (not north as the board shows).

That big tree on the point gave us a big hole near the top mark.

Graham was having a few hiccups with his boats and seemed to pull out a different one for each race.

He was sailor of the day winning a lot of races.

He had all of his boats going quick and today was making the right decisions.

John from Rotorua showed glimpses of form too.

No 175 whose skipper I didn't meet, but he starred as the only portrait in this report, was right in the action also.

Well done to all the winners on the day.

About 3.30 we called it quits as we were feeling the chill factor.
