Annual 5 Hour Marathon at The Bus Stop

A fine weather day was ordered and delivered for this year's event.

Seven crews of two lined up for the start.

RO Justin set a fast start to mark 7 then Round the World for as many laps as you could do.

Neville 170 started off so excitedly that he forgot to turn on the power.

Rob 501 managed to get under his bow and sail him back to shore.

Racing started in light to zero breeze from the east.

As time moved on, the breeze lifted to give us nice enjoyable sailing conditions.

There were a few holes thrown in to provide opportunities.

There were little races going on all afternoon.

as teams tried to pull off a pass and at the same time keep up their lap rate.

Congratulations to this year's winners.

Team 115, Cliff and Garry with a total of 97 laps - well done.

A big thanks to Justin and Graham and helpers

for putting this excellent event together.

Enjoy the photos.

PS

For those interested, I charged my battery for 179 tonight and it took 597mAh, so after 5 hour nonstop racing my blue 700mAh battery did the job with 100mAh left. That was racing in the TRSC DF65 5 Hour Marathon.
