The sun was shining hot at Tauriko today with ten fast little boats on the water. It was like a summer's day and yet we are close to winter. The wind was light NE going from very light to start and stepping up to be a nice breeze as the afternoon moved on.

Talk about close finishes, our sailing group has really improved to be very competitive. Boat settings, boat handling and good decisions have put the package together with the continuous help and advice offered to each other. Sailing out front is something we all need to experience. Some think it is easy out there, but it's not easy when the wolves are nibbling at your rear end.

Nice to see John 9 over from Rotorua and sailing very well with enjoyment, thanks for coming John.

Plenty of different leaders today, with Keith 277 having a blinder in one race to hand out a lesson to the fleet, not bad for a gentleman of over 90yrs. Keep it up Keith.

It looks like similar weather for Thursday, but in the meantime why not shoot over to Papamoa tomorrow at 1:00pm and try your hand on a different track and against some other good sailors.
