We got dusted over at The Bus Stop

I was watching the Coastguard nowcasting through the morning and the wind was hanging around 25 knot peak with 16 knot average from 236 degrees. A quick mental calculation came up suggesting B Rig might be in order.

Arriving at the lake was a whole lot different, it was quite calm with the odd gust coming down the lake that suggested an easy A Rig would be good. Hold my Beer! I've got a B, my A is still at home. Never mind, let's hope the wind lifts in strength.

Nine on the line today, three B's and the rest A's. Surprisingly the gusts turned into levellers for the early part of racing, but as the afternoon wore on the breeze increased to be moderately strong and the B's showed their worth. Lots of thrilling spins and dives on the down wind legs. Nigel 168 set a gate top and bottom to reduce the amount of collisions. Skippers are getting good at handling these strong winds and that mixes up the winners well.

Pat 39 B rig won the first RTW with Nigel 168 A Rig taking a well earned second RTW.

Ross 163 and Harry 433 displayed blistering speed at time to be right up with the leaders.

Remember Monday is the last organised sailing day for 65's for 2023 at The Bus Stop.
