They keep turning up to race at The Bus Stop.
14 boats on the start line today and the skippers were keen as mustard to get racing. A moderate, but gusty SW from up the lake had a cool bite to it. but that didn't deter the lads. Adrian 136 had his whole family with him for warmth, see picture.
Guess what, Nigel 168 set a gated course to suit the breeze, and we were into it. Lots of decision making on this course, do I go left, or do I go right? That was the question for each race. Those who had their eyes up on the start flag would have seen the big swings to the left, then back again.
Lots of quick races and then the wind dropped to become light and with bigger swings. A day of excellent fun racing was enjoyed by everyone. Two RTW's were keenly raced, with Bob 909 and Nigel 168 taking the wins.
A big thankyou to all those skippers who have registered with the TRSC.
Today we had three boat rescues. We have had a number lately and mostly since the wind strength has increased. We are fortunate to have Nigel and Rescue 1 to make the saves. Perhaps it is time for everyone to step back and have a good look at our boats, do some maintenance, check for leaks, and build reliability. Nothing worse than having problems amongst a day of hot racing. Have it all done by Monday, guys.
Enjoy the photos, videos worth seeing on TRSC Facebook group page.
