Crickey, we had a great afternoon sailing at The Bus Stop.
A very light breeze today that came at us from widely differing directions making concentration a top priority to ensure you stayed in the hunt. The breeze was generally from the SE, but occasionally came from the NW, so pick the bones out of that!
14 boats today, all keen on winning, some succeeded and some didn't.
John 137 and Trevor 22 were starting on a handicap and that put the pressure on the rest of us to see if we could catch them. They are doing well and I saw Trevor cross the line winning, well done. It's good to see the fleet giving them a fair go, keep it up. I spent some time with a lady who tried sailing for the first time and I won't be surprised if she shows up to race with us.
Nigel 168 gave us a good workout on his course that gave lots of opportunities to make a pass. Plenty of happy winners when the weather is light as it was today.
There was blood on the water in the one RTW raced today. Clive 998 and Rob 501 had a dingdong battle and finished dead-heated after a brilliant race.
