Breeze was up at The Bus Stop.
Great fleets lately and today was no exception. Sixteen DF65's on the start line looked awesome.
A nice steady SW breeze let Nigel 168 set a fairly true gate top and bottom that totally split the fleet in the first race. Patterns developed as the afternoon moved on, some preferring left over right and vice versa. Some crossing from side to side reacting to shifts. Great races with everyone enjoying themselves. Lots of winners as usual and it's good that it happens.
Three RTW's today with Clive 997 winning race 1, John 201 taking race 2 , and the final RTW was personal choice as to which way round you went to the finish line. With the boats splitting both ways the finish can be interesting. This was the case in this race, and John 201 came home a smidgen ahead of Nigel 168 who had taken opposite routes. Well done John. Incidentally John needs a medal, he travels from Rotorua to sail with us.
Enjoy the photos, there are some goodies.
