The forecast wasn't great for today, but that didn't stop eight skippers from turning up to race this afternoon. Big black clouds were hanging around preceded by a lot of wind. In between it was quite light NW swinging W and back again. Nigel set a good course and it was into it.

Shifts tested skippers who were having mind games with themselves trying to make marks. Some of the puffs were pretty heavy and the odd spinout resulted. Gary 54 got a bit hot under the collar causing his boat to start smoking. He borrowed Graeme 137's No2 boat, 122, tuned it up and then started smoking the fleet. He's doing some electronics diagnostics tonight to get 54 back in racing condition. In between all this he took some top photos that you see attached. Thanks Gary. A bit of rain slowed us down a bit a couple of times, but all up, another top day out in the very fresh air doing what we love. Multiple winners and lots of passing opportunities. It was good to see skippers avoiding the muddy areas caused by the high water levels over the last week as per Graham's request.
