DF 65's at The Bus Stop.

I had a report from my weather man who was out and about this morning. He reported a polar rodent was forecast for the lake this afternoon. I decided to bail out and stay home.

However my roving reporter was there as usual and this is his report.

Eleven tough skippers arrived ready to race and race they did. Big gusts from the west with calm lulls in between was the flavour of the day.

Garry 54 and Nigel 168 had A+ rigs on to give Nigel a bit of practice prior to the Champs in Auckland on Saturday. Nigel found upwind was ok, but downwind was another level.

The fleet handled the gusts well and some good fun racing was had.

Get down the road to Matata tomorrow for an excellent afternoon on the Lagoon. 1:00pm sharp start for the Tauranga DF65 Champs.

Sorry, no photos today
