HUGE KUDOS to Ian Vickers NZL71

in his brand new V12 at the IOM Auckland Champs this weekend.

Yes, Ian impressively won the Auckland IOM Champs with his brand-new boat.

But what was more impressive, was how he conducted himself around the start line again.

His sportsmanship, compliance, and his respect towards other sailors and our racing rules of sailing.

When jammed down the pin end of the starting line

Ian did not luff other boats onto port..

Ian did barge down on others

nor did Ian tack onto port and take out incident right of way boats.

Ian did the right thing.

He accepted he had got himself in a bad situation and had to give way to everyone.

He got out of everyone's way by jibed around to leeward of the pin bouy

Gave to all the right of way starboard boats.

Then proceeded to dig himself out of the hole he had created for himself

And sailed brilliantly back up threw the fleet to the front of the field in his new brand new V12 IOM.

Much Respect from me.

Well done Ian

and HUGE KUDOS and much RESPECT
