Much lighter wind for DF65 fun racing at The Bus Stop

Nine starters today in what was light to very light East wind on the lake.

Nigel 168 set a testing course that took us into The Doldrums at times. As the old saying says, we were all in the same wind - sometimes? We had lots of very tight finishes as leaders were put under pressure on the final beat to the finish line.

Lots of winners except for the last two Round the World races. Pat 39 led through the finish in the first race and went right with Pete 197 close behind. Somehow Pete managed to sneak past Pat and take the win. The spectators were off their seats with excitement. In the last race Pete 197 managed to lead through the finish line and kept the rest guessing as to which way he was going, then went left keeping a handy lead that was carried all the way round to the final finish. At that stage Pete was told by the rest of the fleet to go home, have a cuppa tea and a lie down.

Another fun day on the water, thanks for coming.
