Fifteen boats sailing today in a gusty NE breeze. Boat handling and staying out of trouble was the name of the game today. The wind direction made it hard to set a testing course. Reaching, running, and a mild beat was all Nigel 168 had available. It would be nice for a change to have some westerly breeze. Never mind, we were all sailing in the same breeze on the same water.
A few crashes and bangs occurred on marks with gusts not helping at times. Some very close bunched finishes added a bit of excitement. Mid track, gusts gave rise to a few spinouts and nose dives. No boats were damaged so that's a plus.
Lots of happy winners today.
Enjoy the photos, I took 130 today.
