Hey Team

DFf65 rules

I noted at this year Nationals a few alterations to my interperation.  Now the DF65 nats are done for another season.  It is always a good time to catch up with class rule, clean up, and sail for 12 months on the gear you are going to race with at the next 2024 nats.

Here are a few things I think we might need to check?

Current class rules = df65-v6-rigging-instructions.pdf (wordpress.com)  Note there maybe some updates in the wind ???? ie bottom hull patch

I would also like to suggest we look at proposing club measurers.  Any sail that is not a factory sail needs to be measured and stamped like the IOM class does?

# Jib and Main must be made from a single ply of material and both sails must be the same material. (the jib and main must be the same ply type)

# Forestay.  Version 5 either rope or wire, Version 6 or latter wire forestay

# A plus rig allow a ring at the top of forestay.  Clear interpretation maybe required if you can pick and choose which 3 ropes are attached to ring

# sails set between silver bands as per the equipment rules of sailing ?

I would love some discussion, then if in agreement, we could ask our TRSC DF65 rep to ask the National body
