Well, a week is past since the NZ IOM Nationals were held in Tauranga.
We have received plenty of great feedback and many thanks :) Thanks to everyone who helped before, during and after the event to make it such a succuss. Without you, we would have no events. Thank you so much !!!
Ken took 52 home Sunday after the last race of the Nationals and took to her.
A saw to the fore deck and drill to the deck stepped mast.
Ken layed up a new keel stepped mast box and lengthen his mast all in one week.
Today he sailed Frank 4.2 with his new keel stepped mast on 52 and he was flying :)
Nice work Ken, she performed very differently in the gusts. I'm looking forward to what we do next.
We arrived to a couple of rain spits at 1pm, but it soon cleared, and we were melting in the Tauranga Sun with too many clothes on. A great turnout and brilliant shifty breeze from Bus Stop to Bridge.
A big turnout and everyone had a go at the front with the big wind shifts keeping everyone honest.
Home, Bed and dreaming of what to do to our IOMs next to go a little quicker...
See you on the water soon with more alterations :)
