We woke to glassy and grey over cast conditions...
by 8am the the BBQ was well under well feeding all the troops
10am Briefing followed by a heat board lesson for those who wanted it
11am sharp Thruppy got the 1st seeding race was underway
The wind was a couple of knots from the one direction we did not really want.
But hey, is was ok, the weather man had promised a swing and increase during the day. (never trust the weatherman)
The showers got more regular as the day progress. The finial big shower knocked the wind for a six'er for an hour.
4pm and the lunchtime forecast winds arrived so at least the last heats had wind, even if not the perfect direction.
Thruppy did a fantastic job getting so many races threw in very trying conditions. Well done !
7pm 20 of us met at the RSA for a beautiful dinner and a great catch. Many great stories and ideas were exchanged.
Without "ALL" our club member sacrificing there time, manpower and resources we could not pull all this off an event like this.. Thank you all.
Special thanks to Thruppy, Carl, Bruce, Sharon, Owen, Alan, Tess, Ken, Richard, Graham and all the rest of you behind the scene people. You are all fantastic. Without your these events would not happen. Thanks heaps!
See you all tomorrow for more fun and high ginks... :)
