A grunge day at the Bus Stop, but the keen skippers turned out.
Eight skipper arrived on a very grey almost winter's day. Nigel 168 set a testing course in some very light wind from NE and we were into.
The direction of the wind was the same as we have experienced over recent weeks. It was very testing.
After a few races, the weather turned sour with very light rain and half of the fleet disappeared. four sailed on and had a very enjoyable afternoon and finally knocked off at about 4:00pm.
For some reason skippers that were left were hot one minute and cold the next. First it was Phippsy 253 who won three races on the trot. He was, of course, absolutely thrilled. Then Nigel 168 Green stepped up and did the same thing with Phippsy tailing the fleet. Then others had success. Everyone was enjoying success.
Then came the RTW's. We did three all unidirectional because of the fickle wind. Interestingly all races were won with very small margins.
Pete 197 won two and Nigel 168 won the other.
It was not too good for photos today, but there are a few for you to enjoy.
