A slow start to racing at The Bus Stop.
When I arrived today there were four sad looking skippers grouped and discussing stuff. After 15 minutes there were twelve of us chatting about stuff. Peter 448 pulled a shiny gold DF95 hull out of his car to show the lads and that kept our minds off the weather for a bit. Two or three pulled the pin as they couldn't imagine much wind would eventuate.
Being patient paid off for the rest of us as the Easterly breeze arrived.
It was very light to start, but ok to race in so Nigel 168 put up a simple course and off we went. The breeze lifted gently and resulted in a very pleasant afternoon of fun racing. Multiple winners as usual, mainly by those who avoided the holes and played their sails.
I sailed for the first time with my new RNB sails today and found they went quite well in the light. I'm looking forward to a bit more breeze to feel them perform.
Two RTW's today with Bob 909 winning the first and yes, you guessed it, Ross163 winning the second. Well done guys.
Enjoy the photos and videos.
