There was rain threatening today at The Bus Stop.

Nine Skippers showed up on a cold overcast afternoon to race. The breeze was light and from the West, but generally steady. The recent rain had made its mark on the lake level which was up to the boardwalk. We had a spot we could launch without getting our feet wet. Nigel 168 set a good course with a couple of good windward beats and we started racing right on time and all the time we watched a big black collection of clouds coming our way from the Kaimai Range.

The racing in the light wind was very good as skippers had time to discuss upcoming crossings, mark rounding etc.

Great to see Nigel 350 back on the water racing today after a lengthy break, 350 looked in fine racing form. That black cloud arrived early and we scarpered before we got wet. A good short session completed.

I was thinking we haven't seen Brothers John and Bob for a while.

A couple of past action shots are something we haven't experienced for a while.
