What looked like a dodgy day, turned out to be a cracker at The Bus Stop.
The forecast said West wind 15knots gusting 33knots so A Rig top of the range gusting into B Rig. I packed a B rig in case there was a big breeze. At the start of racing it was B Rig, but a light squall passed through and normality came back with a very pleasant SW'er.
Nigel 168 took the opportunity to dream up a gated top and bottom course that suited the day to a tee. Racing started and it was all go with Trevor away on his handicap and the rest of us were trying to run him down. The excellent breeze was right on our nose, so the left or right top marks were pretty even. It was great seeing skippers sorting out whether left or right was best. You know what happens when you get it wrong!
An exciting day was spent racing our little boats in goog social company.
Three RTW's today were all won by Peter. Peter 197
took the first and Peter 248 clean sweeped the second two. Well done Peter's.
