The umbrellas were out today at The Bus Stop.
When I arrived today, the bank was a blaze of colour with skippers set up on their folding chairs, drink bottles, and sun umbrellas, all looking well prepared for a hot day's racing , but not out in the sun. The rest of the group were well fitted out with big brim hats etc.
Nigel 168 set another Northerly aspect course with the crater mark being No 8 today. Out of the blocks to No8 was a tight reach then into the hole you went. Everyone had to deal with it and they did. The etiquette was quite unbelievable, but then if it wasn't we would have had a disaster getting through the crater.
The breeze stayed constant all afternoon varying from 0 to 5 knots. Excellent racing resulted with a lot of close finished.
Groups through the fleet had their own races which was enjoyable.
Three RTW's to finish the day were won by Graeme 230 and Pat 39 taking two. One was unidirectional and it was good to see choices being made as to which way to go.
Another wonderful day sailing our DF65's
Enjoy the photos.
