A Choice afternoon at The Bus Stop.

14 boats on the water this afternoon to enjoy a warm NW breeze that stayed with us all through racing. Nigel 168 set a testing course and then we were into it. Ian 146 was able to be with us today and his presence was felt as he peeled off three straight wins right out of the blocks. Well done Ian.

The wind strength and fleet size made it hard to sail to a win today, so when it happened skippers were pleased. The handicap boys were certainly applying the pressure from the front.

Welcome today to Francois sailing 137. The last couple of weeks he had boat issues, but today with the steady breeze he felt far more comfortable.

Two RTW's were raced with Garry 54 and Rob 501 taking the honours

It was not easy to get a win today and with 14 boats it was particularly busy at the starts. There was a bit of discussion around starting rules at starts today. We are concerned about how early starters are managed and how other start infringements are dealt with. We will be laying out some clear venue rules so as to ensure that non infingers get a better start. We want races to be enjoyable with less interference resulting in groups being involved in discussion when they are not part of the incident. It would be more pleasant if incidents were sorted quickly and racing less interrupted.

Another top day fun racing at The Bus Stop.

Enjoy the photos.
